What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and improve your experience on future visits. CrownLane also makes use of browser localStorage — a similar mechanism that stores slightly larger amounts of data directly in your browser, also without transmitting it to us.
How CrownLane Uses Cookies & Local Storage
Essential Storage (Always Active)
The following are required for CrownLane to function correctly and cannot be disabled:
- clg_age_confirmed — Remembers that you have confirmed being 18 or over, so you are not asked again on every visit.
- clg_coins — Stores your current Crown Coin balance so it persists between sessions.
- clg_cookies — Remembers your cookie consent choice so the banner does not re-appear.
Analytics Cookies (Optional)
With your consent, we may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns — which pages are visited, how long sessions last, and which games are most popular. This information is never personally identifiable and is used solely to improve the platform.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You can accept or decline optional cookies using the consent banner that appears on your first visit. If you wish to revoke consent or clear all stored data:
- Open your browser's developer tools (usually F12 or right-click → Inspect).
- Navigate to the "Application" or "Storage" tab.
- Find "Local Storage" and clear the entries for this site.
Alternatively, most browsers offer a "Clear browsing data" option in their settings that will remove all localStorage and cookies for all sites simultaneously.
Note: clearing your CrownLane data will reset your coin balance to 10,000 on your next visit — which is always free.
Third-Party Cookies
CrownLane does not use third-party advertising cookies. If we ever integrate third-party services (such as analytics providers), this policy will be updated to reflect any new cookie types before they are activated.
